In this mobile and digital age, it’s hard to imagine that intercom systems still play a huge part in the communication solutions of many environments. We know that everyone has a mobile phone so why can’t we all use them? Well, there are some places that simply do not allow mobile phones to be used such as hospitals and educational establishments, so this is where intercoms come into action.
Many of these places have internal telephone systems which can provide a good alternative to intercom systems but generally, a telephone system uses telephone handsets which simply aren’t suitable for certain environments. We’ve all seen telephones screwed to a wall halfway down a hospital corridor but how bad does that look, and how often are they damaged? A flush mount robust intercom unit would make much more sense for this application.
